Bocomo: an introduction BOCOMO is a noumenal entity that almost needs to be experienced in depth, over a period of time, for complete understanding.
Bocomo has a diversity uncommon to surrounding territories. Most of the neighboring counties are filled by those who are not anxious to cross their county's border, even if the feed store is all out of grain (unless there's a good looking heiffer across the way over there). Columbia is host to a solid community college, a fine arts college for women, and the University of Missouri's main campus. These schools, plus thriving industries in Insurance, Medicine, Education, and Coffee Brewing all come together to form the diamond in the rough we have come to love as Columbia, Missouri, aka "The Center of the Universe" for transplanted bocomoans.
